We are looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be part of a friendly team dedicated to helping our customers. Your responsibilities will include leading the store team by coaching and supervising Customer Team Members, deputising for the Store Manager, delivering excellent customer service, and performing various store tasks like re-stocking shelves and cleaning spillages.
Our working pattern involves varied shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, late evenings, and weekends, which will be discussed at the interview. Full paid training is provided. You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co-op, as you’ll need to authorize age-related sales.

What you’ll do
1. Provide friendly, welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful service, often managing the store and handling challenging situations.
2. Develop your team’s capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone’s voice is valued.
3. Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
4. Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to enhance the shopping experience.
5. Support your store manager by deputising when necessary and assisting with HR processes.
6. Lead the introduction of new products and services, working closely with your team to implement changes and gather feedback.
7. Build relationships and participate in local community initiatives, supporting the delivery of the community plan.
