Family Solicitor – Private / Public Law Children
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Solicitor to join our growing family law team. This role is suitable for a solicitor with experience in private law children matters, public law care proceedings, or a combination of both.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload and provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients, including:
* Private law children matters (residence, contact, specific issue and prohibited steps orders)
* Public law children matters (care, supervision and emergency protection proceedings)
* Advocacy in court (where appropriate)
* Drafting applications, statements and other legal documents
* Working closely with clients, social services, guardians and other professionals
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or CILEX equivalent)
* Experience in private and/or public family law children work
* Strong knowledge of family law and court procedures
* Excellent client care and communication skills
* Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
