Overview
Service Desk Engineer role at Hubexo. This is a hands-on IT support position focused on keeping UK and Ireland hubs connected, secure, and productive. You will take ownership of issues from start to finish, deploy devices, and ensure systems run smoothly for colleagues in hubs and remote workers.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of support requests and see them through to resolution using remote tools, phone, or desk-side support.
* Log, prioritise, and manage incidents accurately in the ticketing system.
* Configure and deploy laptops, mobiles, and software for new and existing users.
* Maintain IT asset inventories to ensure security, patching, and compliance.
* Apply updates, antivirus, and malware protection within agreed timescales.
* Troubleshoot hardware issues, manage sign-in applications, and support niche internal software.
* Contribute to the creation of self-help and knowledgebase content for users.
* Support hub relocations and on-site technical needs, including manual handling of IT equipment.
* Deliver customer service that earns trust and drives user satisfaction.
About You / Qualifications
* Practical, approachable, and dedicated to helping others; enjoy variety in IT support from hardware and software to troubleshooting and system updates.
* Experience in a service desk or IT support environment is welcome; or willingness to learn and grow in a role with broad exposure to technologies.
* Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking principles.
* Clear communication, ability to stay calm under pressure, and effective collaboration across teams.
* Desirable: familiarity with Active Directory, Intune administration, ITIL practices, or endpoint management tools.
