The role:
Reporting to the Head of FP&A for BU West, this role carries responsibility for all aspects of Financial Planning & Analysis of the UK On Trade Commercial Performance.
ABI is an office-based company, with team members working on-site five days a week. Our office environment plays a key role in maintaining our culture; we believe that in-person collaboration fosters stronger communication, faster problem-solving, and more meaningful professional development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Lead the UK On-Trade Commercial Budgeting and Strategic Planning cycles (1-year and 10-year), defining strategic pillars to drive sustainable and profitable growth in collaboration with the On-Trade Director, account teams, and Senior Management.
* Translate strategy into clear Commercial Budget P&Ls for each account, including key target KPIs.
* Oversee all ad-hoc financial modeling specific to the On-Trade channel to support long-term strategic decisions.
* Manage On-Trade Commercial investments, ensuring alignment with long-term returns and strategic priorities; review and approve major business cases.
* Establish tracking mechanisms and conduct regular performance reviews for all business-critical projects.
* Lead monthly On-Trade P&L closing processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting principles, ABI standards, and company policies.
* Deliver monthly P&L analysis and gap reviews to FP&A leadership and On-Trade Sales, providing insights and challenges to drive volume and profitability.
* Indirectly lead and develop a Bangalore-based FP&A team member to support talent pipeline sustainability.
* Collaborate with Revenue Management to implement price increases, identify margin improvement opportunities, and monitor execution.
* Contribute to cross-functional On-Trade initiatives as part of the Management Team, driving strategic value across the channel.
Who we’re looking for:
* University degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering; a Master’s in Finance or Business Administration and/or accounting qualifications are a plus.
* 2–4 years of experience managing financial performance, ideally within the FMCG or Beverage industry.
* Background in commercial environments, with pricing and financial analysis experience preferred.
* Proven ability to support managerial decision-making and manage diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in preparing and implementing business cases (e.g., M&A, investments, greenfield projects, restructuring) is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of FMCG dynamics and key commercial levers.
* Proficient in financial analysis, business case modeling (DCF, NPV, IRR, Payback), and cost calculations.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and engage senior stakeholders.
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong project management and systems/process integration knowledge.
* Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, resilience, assertiveness, and a drive for high performance.
