Reporting to the Production Director
Responsible for managing all purchasing relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Role includes the placing of orders with suppliers, ensuring deliveries are received as required, and working in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that all stock is booked in and out maintaining accurate stock levels and reports.
It will also be your responsibility to maintain accurate up to date records of all raw materials including the identification of alternative suppliers who may be able to provide one or more of better quality, prices, lead time, or terms.
In addition to raw materials for manufacture this role includes the co-ordination of receipt and despatch of third party stock used in sub-contract manufacture.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone enthusiastic who likes working closely with people both internally and externally.
You must be confident and able to manage pressure during peak periods within a team environment.
You will need to be reasonably proficient with Excel as a minimum requirement.
