Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing both Sales and Purchase Ledger.
Sales Ledger
Key Responsibilities:
* Recording sales transactions and issuing invoices to customers.
* Ensuring timely collection of payments.
* Reconciling customer accounts.
* Chasing overdue payments (credit control).
* Allocating incoming payments correctly.
* Liaising with customers regarding invoice queries.
Purchase Ledger:
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing supplier invoices.
* Matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
* Ensuring correct authorization and coding of invoices.
* Reconciling supplier statements.
* Dealing with supplier queries.
* Maintaining accurate records for audits.
Skills Required:
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Time management and organizational skills.
* Good communication/interpersonal skills (for dealing with customers and suppliers).
* Familiarity with accounting software Sage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,420.00-£27,000.00 per year
