Accounts Assistant
Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our client’s finance team in Wolverhampton. This is a varied role that will give you exposure to all areas of accounts, with a strong focus on credit control. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Duties
1. Processing supplier invoices and raising customer invoices
2. Carrying out credit control duties and managing outstanding debt
3. Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
4. Assisting with bank reconciliations and supporting VAT returns/month-end procedures
5. Managing employee expenses and general finance administration
What We’re Looking For
6. Previous experience or exposure to an Accounts/Finance environment
7. Understanding of basic accounting principles
8. AAT qualification (advantageous but not essential)
9. Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
10. Credit control experience is essential
