Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a SENCO and in room dedicated support for our SEN children for morning work 8-2pm Mon - Fri. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality educational support to children, particularly those with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, speech therapy, and behaviour management, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging activities in tailored to the needs of each child.
* Implement speech therapy techniques and applied behaviour analysis to support children's communication skills and behavioural development.
* Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to enhance learning outcomes for children with special educational needs.
* Utilise effective communication skills to collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals regarding children's progress.
* Manage classroom behaviour through positive reinforcement strategies and behaviour management techniques.
* Conduct proofreading of educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy before use in the classroom.
* Create a nurturing environment for toddlers and preschool-aged children that promotes their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
* Experience in teaching or tutoring subjects such as maths or physical education is an advantage.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
* A background in mentoring or providing childcare will be beneficial.

Pay: £12.50-£12.80 per hour
