Founded in 2022 and based in Uppingham, Rutland, Seabrook Design fills a gap of youth and energy in the local architecture and development industry. Our designs strive to balance beauty and practicality with an all inclusive start to finish process for our valued clients. With Seabrook Build, our sister company, we are the main contractor for the construction phase of our projects to provide a true turnkey service and not the usual “concept to completion” that gets thrown around in the architecture industry. Our expertise encompasses house extensions, planning permission, heritage and conservation works, building control, engineering, project management, and surveying.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Architect or Architectural Designer located in Uppingham. The new team player will be responsible for designing and developing architectural plans, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, ensuring project compliance with building regulations, managing project timelines, and will have heavy involvement in both the design work itself, and the lifecycle of the project.
Qualifications
* Expertise in residential Architecture is essential
* Experience in Planning and Building Regulations is essential
* Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketchup)
* Strong understanding of building regulations, and construction methods
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work on-site in Uppingham and transport for surveys, meetings and site visits

Salary
Salary is negotiable with a range from £25,000-£35,000 to reflect the ability, experience and attitude of the applicant with potential to earn more via extras to be discussed and negotiated. Due to being a small business, we can accurately identify the value added by each member of the team, and are happy to reward those who help us in our mission.
