Join a fast‑paced Battery Development Laboratory as a Laboratory Technician, supporting cutting‑edge material testing and characterisation activities that underpin both production and product development. This role offers hands‑on involvement in laboratory operations, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality materials within a growing and innovative engineering environment.
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for:
Sampling, measuring and verifying materials against defined Certificate of Analysis (COA) requirements.
Ensuring products meet internal standards and customer specifications.
Operating, maintaining and calibrating laboratory and characterisation equipment.
Recording, analysing and reporting experimental and test data accurately.
Supporting fault analysis and troubleshooting activities.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high safety standards.
The Laboratory Technician will have:
A BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
Experience working in an industrial or academic laboratory environment.
A basic understanding of materials characterisation techniques (e.g. microscopy, XRD, FTIR, SEM‑EDX, rheology/viscometry)
Strong awareness of laboratory health and safety procedures, including risk and COSHH assessments.
Good problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
