Competitive What youll be doing: Provide metallurgical support to all functions, in particular Operations, Engineering and The Supply Chain on emergent issues arising during submarine build and commissioning
Offer metallurgical support to Submarine design engineering teams to ensure the use of appropriate materials and the management of corrosion
Support to knowledge transfer within the Materials Technology department
Identify areas of research for exploitation, lead research activities and author reports
Provide specialist metallurgical guidance within the department to ensure a work and investigations are processed and reported in a consistent and timely manner
The review and maintenance of relevant Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards and Operating Procedures
Effective communication within and external to the department on the initiation and application of solutions and processes
Manage with authority on forging, casting and metal forming processes
Your skills and experiences: Qualified to degree level (BEng/BSc) in metallurgy or materials science
