Maintenance Scheduler – Oil & Gas Operator

A leading energy operator is looking to engage a Maintenance Scheduler to join their onshore team supporting UKCS offshore assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in maintenance scheduling and planning within the oil & gas or energy sector.
About the Role:
This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient maintenance operations through accurate scheduling of preventive and corrective work. The role focuses on coordinating resources, aligning with site leadership, and delivering integrated schedules that optimise uptime and resource use.
You’ll be working closely with asset maintenance leads, planners, and technicians to ensure the smooth execution of scheduled work. This role is based onshore, supporting offshore and terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage integrated maintenance schedules that include preventive and corrective work.
* Facilitate daily and weekly scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams.
* Act as a key interface between planning and execution teams.
* Coordinate with trade leads and technicians to ensure resource alignment.
* Optimise the execution of grouped work orders and prioritise workload.
* Support the adoption and adherence to work management processes.
* Provide feedback and improvement suggestions on SAP usage and scheduling efficiency.
* Maintain scheduling governance, including Frozen 7D, 3M, and 4W timelines.
* Liaise with operations and planning leads on long-term scheduling and shutdown plans.
Skills & Experience:
* Strong understanding of maintenance work management in the oil & gas or heavy industry sectors.
* Experience with SAP and Prometheus (GWOS) or similar scheduling tools.
* Familiarity with 3M, 4W, and Frozen 7D planning cycles.
* Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple teams and disciplines.
* Experience in leading or facilitating scheduling meetings and cross-functional discussions.
* Ability to assess, prioritise, and level work based on equipment criticality and resource availability.
* HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline (preferred but not essential).
Desirable:
* Offshore maintenance or technician background is a strong plus.
* Primavera experience.
* Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and shutdown coordination.
