Job Position: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (with the potential for permanent for the right candidate)
Salary: From £85 per day

We are seeking a dynamic and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work collaboratively in an alternative provision. The successful candidate will support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic success. This role requires adaptability, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills. Some students may have attachment and trauma responses, so patience and dedication are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Motivate pupils and promote self-esteem
* Provide 1:1 support for pupils experiencing emotional or behavioural crises
* Support pupils in making appropriate behavioural choices
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with students and staff
* Adhere to school policies and safeguarding procedures
* Contribute to the school's overall ethos
Requirements:
* A full, clean driving license (preferred but not essential)
* Previous experience working with SEMH children or adults
* Resilience and patience to handle challenging behaviours
