Salary: £29,064Location: OldhamContract: Permanent, full timeReporting to: Operational Manager Improving lives in Oldham First Choice Homes Oldham has an exciting opportunity for a Skilled Labourer to join our team. This is mainly a site based role. You will carry out labouring, clearance, cleaning and small repair jobs across our homes and buildings. The impact you’ll make You will help keep our homes and communities safe, clean and well maintained. You will work in both occupied and empty homes. Your work will help customers live in homes they can feel proud of. You will be part of a team that takes pride in doing a good job, working safely and treating customers with respect. What you’ll be doing You will carry out a range of labouring, clearance and minor repair jobs, including: • Damp and mould washes and treatments• Minor repairs, cleaning and clearance work• Paving, fencing repairs and basic brickwork patching• Support kitchen and bathroom rip outs• Garden maintenance• External clearance• Safe removal of waste• Securing empty homes You will also: • Drive and look after service vehicles, tools and equipment• Report repairs, defects and safety concerns• Support removals and deliveries for furnished homes• Follow health and safety, safeguarding and equality policies• Attend training and development activities• Work closely with colleagues to ensure jobs are completed safely • Work flexibly, including some weekends when needed What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and happy to work in customers’ homes. You will need: • Experience in construction or a building trade• Knowledge of manual handling, waste removal and health and safety• The ability to carry out cleaning and small repair jobs• Good communication skills• A respectful approach to customers• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team• A full clean UK driving licence• UKATA Asbestos Awareness, or be willing to complete this before starting Why join FCHO?
