Help us inspire students about their futures! We’re looking for someone to create a regular newsletter on careers and the UK job market, giving young people insights, tips, and opportunities to support their next steps.
Your newsletter will give students valuable insights into the job market and practical steps to prepare for their future. By breaking down careers advice into engaging, accessible content, you’ll empower young people to make confident choices and feel excited about the opportunities ahead.
We’re looking for a volunteer to help us create a regular Careers Newsletter aimed at students. The newsletter will share practical tips, job market insights, and inspiring stories to help young people feel more confident about their future.
* Research and write engaging, student-friendly content about careers, employability skills, and opportunities in the UK.
* Break down job market trends into clear, accessible advice.
* Highlight CV, interview, and apprenticeship tips that students can use right away.
* Work with us to design and structure a newsletter that feels fresh and engaging.
* Help us set up and manage a simple mailing process (e.g. Mailchimp).
Qualities and experience that would help include strong writing and communication skills, interest in careers, education, or youth development, ability to research and simplify information, and creativity, reliability, and an eye for what will capture students’ attention.
In this role, you will research and write engaging articles on careers, employability skills, and trends in the UK job market. Share practical tips on CVs, interviews, apprenticeships, and pathways into work. Highlight inspiring career stories and opportunities for young people. Present information in a student-friendly, motivating way. Design and send the newsletter using tools such as Mailchimp or Canva (support provided if needed).
