Our client, an award-winning British manufacturing institution, with an established reputation in it’s field, is looking for an experienced Procurement & Commodities Lead to join them.
This is fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation, supporting a global supply chain as part of an established strategic procurement function. In this role you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure aligned and efficient procurement of commodities across multiple brands.
It is essential that the successful candidate has previous experience procuring direct materials in a manufacturing environment and has previously managed complex supplier accounts successfully, acting as a trusted business partner to cross-functional teams, mitigating risk and ensuring best practice.
In this role you will work to improve the supply chain, focusing both on long term improvement whilst adapting to meet changing business needs, simultaneously maintaining sight of long-term objectives. You will lead the creation of commodity supplier strategies, to drive incremental improvements and lead supplier analysis to support the procurement roadmap across functions.
In this role, you will be focused on identifying, securing and managing an effective and fit for purpose supplier network for UK operations as well as shaping the supply chain for some of our outsourced manufacture products. Your remit will of course cover existing product lines, but also to increase and improve our involvement in new product introduction sourcing/Procurement activities, in parallel with cross-functional stakeholders.
