Job Description
Atkinson Moss is delighted to be supporting a long standing family-run business based near Stalham in their search for a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Managing Director, he Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and effective budgeting and forecasting. The Financial Controller will also manage all day-to-day accounting operations and will help the leadership team with other essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, and variance analysis.
* Provide clear commentary and insights to support decision-making.
* Develop and maintain forecasting models and cashflow projections.
* Prepare VAT returns, HMRC submissions, and statutory filings.
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
* Provide financial modelling for investment decisions, product development, and long-term planning.
* Oversee all day-to-day finance activities purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, cash management
* Work closely with Purchase Ledger clerk to ensure accurate supplier record keeping
* Planning & Preparation of year end financial statements for auditing.
* Support external auditors, pension advisers, and regulatory bodies as required.
* Manage annual stocktake process from financial perspective
