Rutland County Council is recruiting a full‑time Social Work Qualified Practice Development Advanced Practitioner to join our Quality and Assurance team.
Role Overview
As the Practice Development Lead Practitioner you will support the implementation of the Quality and Assurance Framework, deliver practice development sessions, understand training needs and engage with children and families across the local authority.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of the Quality and Assurance Framework.
* Deliver practice development sessions to share best practice across the workforce.
* Work closely with social work teams and the wider children’s directorate to identify training needs.
* Assist the Practice Development Lead in planning and coordinating the quality assurance framework and training plans.
* Conduct regular visits and communications with children and young people within the local authority.
* Prepare updates and reports for performance meetings within Rutland and LLR.
* Collaborate with partner agencies to promote quality and assurance processes.
* Travel within and outside Rutland as required; a full driving licence is necessary.
Qualifications
* Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England (SWE).
* Knowledge of relevant children’s social care legislation, policies and procedures.
* Experience of quality assurance work and audits to improve practice.
* Knowledge of Signs of Safety Practice.
* Experience gathering views from children, young people and families using various mediums.
* Drive to implement best practice and support change for positive outcomes.
* Full driving licence required for travel.
* Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken; the cost is covered by the Council.
