Are you practical, reliable, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming school environment? This school is seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join their team in Worthing and play a vital role in maintaining the school's premises and supporting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the school site is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
* Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and basic DIY tasks.
* Oversee security of the premises, including opening/locking up.
* Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
* Support with setting up school events and activities.
* Liaise with contractors and manage site access when needed.
Requirements
* Previous experience in care-taking or facilities role (school experience preferred).
* Basic knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, and manual handling.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
