About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrically biasedEHS Advisorto join our clients team on a major infrastructure project. This is a site-based role where you will be the first point of contact for all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters within your designated scope of works. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with EHS standards, supporting operational teams, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits
* Support the development and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Actively intervene and report when unsafe practices are observed.
* Deliver EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.
* Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
* Lead or support incident investigations and reporting.
* Ensure compliance with site-specific EHS plans and procedures.
* Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure coordinated EHS efforts.
* Promote and model adherence to Life Saving Rules and Zero Harm initiatives.
Essential Requirements
* NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years of EHS experience on large-scale construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction site practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Current CCNSG Safety Passport (or willingness to obtain post-offer).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* ISO45001 Internal Auditor certification.
* First Aid at Work qualification.
* Experience in large electrical installations.
* Recognised training in incident investigation, manual handling, PASMA, or IPAF.
