Work towards completion of the non-medical prescribing programme. Utilises clinical expertise, knowledge and skills to take a detailed and comprehensive nursing and medical history, and from this information to be able to plan, implement care and evaluate care. Responsible for maintaining professional competence and standards to deliver care and services within sphere of practice and clinical expertise.
Be involved in, as part of a team, the development and update of guidelines of policies with the support of the consultants and multi-disciplinary team. Deliver programmes of care according to clinical need within agreed pathways and protocols. Provides ward based support and knowledge for patients and staff.
