We work with colleges across Swansea and South Wales. The roles are temporary ongoing during term times and hours can be part-time and full-time depending on availability at the college.

Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Position: Part-Time/Full-Time

Rate: £13.68p/h to £14.50p/h including holiday pay
Successful Teaching Assistants will have the following skills and qualifications:
* Minimum Level 2 qualification as a Teaching Assistant - desirable
* Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English & Maths
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour
* Experience working with adults/teenagers or children with special education needs
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills
* Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
Responsibilities:
* To provide one-to-one support and supervision of students with special education needs/learning difficulties and disabilities within the classroom
* To encourage the learners to excel to reach their full academic potential
* To support learners with their literacy and numeracy
* To create, monitor and review SMART targets
* To manage challenging behaviour, where necessary
* To maintain accurate records of learners’ progress
