This is a home based role.
We are very excited to be looking to recruit a Housing Assistant to assist the Intensive Housing Management Service Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a signification contribution to the Team and the Charity as a whole.
As Housing Assistant, you will provide national administrative support and repairs and maintenance support to the Intensive Housing Management (IHM) Services. Your primary role will be to support the IHM service team to deliver a responsive customer service, with occasional tasks to support other services areas as and when required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To be the first point of contact for repair queries from colleagues, customers, contractors and partners.
2. To record works for IHM maintenance operatives working with the Repairs and
3. Maintenance Manager.
4. Provide administrative support to IHM services nationally and assist the Property Services Team with quotes and invoices.
5. Liaise with Intensive Housing Officers to ensure Lettable Standard is achieved.
6. Deal with customer requests for repairs, via the council, repairs line or IHM maintenance team.
7. Obtain quotes and order furniture and other goods for IHM customers.
8. Maintain financial records of all relevant expenditure.
9. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the fixed asset register, including processing additions, disposals and depreciation.
Essential Criteria:
10. An Ability to demonstrate the core values of the charity
11. Good IT skills and proven experience in an office environment
12. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
13. Accurate recording skills
14. Ability to prepare and take minutes
15. Good interpersonal and communication skills
16. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
17. Ability to work within a service for people with support / care needs
18. Ability to concentrate in busy environments
19. Excellent organisational skills and problem solving skills
