About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Avionics Systems Consultant to join our team on-site in Warton. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer with a strong background in flight avionics systems, radar technologies, and mission-critical equipment. You will play a key role in the design, development, and integration of advanced avionics systems for next-generation fighter aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support high-level concept development for flight avionics systems.
* Generate and manage formal system requirements using tools such as DOORS.
* Contribute to system and sub-system design and development across the avionics lifecycle.
* Apply knowledge of the V-Model lifecycle in the context of fighter aircraft systems.
* Support interface management using the ICT Tool (ADS internal).
* Collaborate on radar and IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) system integration.
* Provide input into mission computer equipment design and validation.
* Utilize Statemate for system modeling and simulation.
* Manage configuration using PCMS.
* Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Desirable Experience:
* Prior experience in one or more of the following roles:
* ICD (Interface Configuration Document) Engineer
* Attack and Ident Engineer
* Front End Team Engineer
* Exposure to safety-critical systems and associated standards.
* Strong understanding of interface control documents and avionics architecture.
