You'll be working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting with students aged 11–16 who have a range of additional needs, including SEMH, MLD, ADHD, and BESD. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting students with challenging behaviour in a nurturing, structured environment Helping learners grow in confidence, independence, and life skills Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to deliver targeted supportWhat We’re Looking For: Experienced working with SEN students in a school, PRU, or alternative provision A calm, patient, and empathetic approach 6 months of relevant experience A valid Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to apply Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Strong behaviour management and communication skills Ability to work closely with Teachers, Pastoral teams, SENDco’s and other external agencies to implement support strategies About Us: Smart Education is a specialist recruitment agency placing passionate education professionals in roles that change lives.
