Business Development Specialist (Lead Generation, New Business & Account Management)
Greater London - Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
£45,000 - £60,000 basic plus commission
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join a growing Legal Professional Services company.
About the role:
As the Business Development Specialist you will be involved in proactive sales development, early-stage deal management, and ongoing account management. You will play a key part in building relationships, opening new opportunities, and progressing deals through the pipeline.
What you will be doing:
* You will identify, research and target prospective clients, building a robust pipeline of high-quality leads
* You will engage senior stakeholders (e.g., General Counsel, Heads of Legal, senior decision-makers) to secure meetings and introduce the organisation’s value proposition
* You will partner with internal sponsors and senior colleagues to plan and deliver lead-generation activities
* You will qualify opportunities by understanding client needs and building business cases using case studies and KPIs
* You will develop creative outreach approaches and campaigns to open doors and build trust
* You will build and maintain strong client relationships across all levels, including procurement
* You will coordinate internal teams to support account growth and client engagement
* You will identify opportunities for expansion by aligning client needs with business solutions
* You will support commercial and contractual discussions across assigned accounts
What we are looking for:
* Experience in Legal Services sales (product-only experience is not sufficient)
* Experience generating and qualifying new business and managing early-stage deal cycles.
* Experience in Account management experience and nurturing long-term relationships
* Experience in 360 sales and long-term sales cycles
* Knowledge of the legal, professional services or alternative legal services market
