Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement business development strategies to increase revenue and market share for the restaurant, with a focus on Indian cuisine dining experiences, including dine-in, takeaway, and event-based services. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, contracts, and sales activities, providing regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior management. Identify and secure new business opportunities, including corporate bookings, private dining, catering services, and local partnerships. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers, and repeat customers to ensure sustained business growth and customer retention. Conduct detailed local market research and competitor analysis within the Indian restaurant sector to identify trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities. Develop and deliver sales plans, forecasts, and revenue targets, ensuring consistent achievement of financial objectives. Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with clients and business partners in line with company policies and profitability goals. Work closely with branch management and operational teams to ensure that business development initiatives, promotions, and events are executed effectively and in line with the restaurant’s service standards. Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement targeted campaigns, including seasonal promotions and cultural events (e.g. festive Indian celebrations, themed dining experiences), as well as digital marketing initiatives. Monitor financial and sales performance data, identifying areas of underperformance and implementing corrective actions to improve revenue and operational efficiency. Ensure all business development activities comply with UK legislation, licensing requirements, and internal company policies. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Strong commercial awareness with the ability to position an Indian cuisine restaurant effectively within a competitive hospitality market. Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities. Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A relevant experience. Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills. A relevant bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
