A Project Engineering Lead is needed for the Team Tempest project within the Combat Air division to develop an Electronic Warfare (EW) System for a 6th generation Combat Aircraft. The role is based at Capability Green.
As the Project Engineering Lead, you will:
1. Manage work packages and deliver an EW System solution.
2. Provide engineering management, guidance, and leadership, supported by the Project Chief Engineer and Project Engineering Manager.
3. Set clear expectations for your team regarding Engineering Plans and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
4. Collaborate with the Project Engineering Manager to monitor and report on engineering progress, costs, risks, and metrics.
5. Mentor and develop your engineering team through coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
6. Apply Agile development methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of each program increment.
What you'll do
1. Lead and manage your system development team through the full product lifecycle using Agile processes.
2. Mentor engineers within your team.
3. Plan, cost, and schedule engineering activities effectively.
4. Work with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements.
5. Define and communicate engineering plans clearly to your team.
6. Oversee the completion of engineering plans in terms of quality, cost, and schedule.
7. Work with the Project Chief Engineer to maximize resource reuse, ensure producibility, and robustness of design solutions.
8. Ensure design solutions meet environmental and certification requirements.
9. Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies with the Project Engineering Manager.
10. Manage project configuration and change processes.
11. Implement the company's Lifecycle Management processes effectively.
12. Define qualification and acceptance criteria and oversee design certification.
13. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
