Due to internal promotion, Hitachi Energy is hiring a Global Product Manager for Network Control, Energy Management System (EMS).
Network Control is a fast-growing market enabling energy transition and renewable energy solutions control. The role involves consulting, understanding customer needs, and providing solutions to support product development. You will translate technical details for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives.
Your responsibilities include identifying problems, developing new products, processes, standards, and operational plans. The role operates across multiple countries and time zones, offering growth and development opportunities.
Summary
EMS is part of Network Manager (NM), Hitachi Energy’s real-time, mission-critical network control solution. The EMS application suite includes advanced network applications like State Estimation, Power Flow, Security Analysis, and more, helping grid operators maintain secure and efficient power systems.
The Role
* Portfolio management: Manage the Transmission Control product portfolio (EMS/SCADA), oversee its lifecycle, and contribute to decisions on obsolescence.
* Product strategy: Translate market requirements into a global product portfolio, position current and future products, and contribute to strategy definitions.
* Market analysis: Analyze market, technology, competitor, and customer requirements; identify needs and risks.
* Product business plan: Define business plans, set pricing models, and prioritize development activities.
* Customer relations: Engage with customers, manage escalations and non-conformities.
Background
* 10 years experience in the energy sector, with transferable skills (ideally).
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in a relevant field.
* Financially aware, with experience in pricing and cost control.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for integrating technical concepts into product solutions.
* Solution-focused mindset for product development, maintaining integrity.
* Technical background in Electrical Engineering, problem-solving skills.
* Familiar with software development tools for power systems.
* Flexible with time zones, willing to travel.
* Ability to collaborate, consult, and drive change while engaging stakeholders.
