The Education Network is currently looking to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partnership schools based in the South Shields area. The successful applicant will need to understand the national curriculum and be able to deliver this to the highest level possible.

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00
* Duration: Temp until Christmas with the possibility of going perm directly after Christmas
* Rate of Pay: £11.92 p/hr
Job Description
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and learning of young children. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting the class teacher in implementing engaging and effective learning activities.
* Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.
* Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
* Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the best educational experience for our students.
* Promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Previous experience working within a Primary School and prior SEND experience preferred.
* Caring and nurturing attitude towards children.
* Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities.
* A passion and desire to work with students with additional needs.
* Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
* A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or a willingness to apply for one.
