We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer (Mechanical & Civils) on behalf of our clients, with projects based across North East London.
This is a permanent PAYE position offering a salary between £45,000–£55,000, providing excellent long-term career prospects within a stable and growing engineering sector.

Role Overview
As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering engineering designs and detailed drawings, working closely with project managers and wider teams to support projects from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Review design briefs, scopes, and survey information to determine requirements
* Produce 2D and 3D designs using CAD software
* Prepare accurate drawings for fabrication and construction
* Carry out quality checks to ensure designs meet required standards
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients
* Develop practical design solutions to technical challenges
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications
* Produce material lists and detailed documentation within agreed timescales
* Continuously review and improve design outputs
Requirements
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (desirable)
* Proven experience in design engineering and producing detailed drawings
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
