Our Estates & Facilities Projects Group is responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of campus infrastructure and buildings. With a portfolio of over 300 live projects varying in complexity and value the Projects Group plays a critical role in ensuring our world-class facilities support the University’s vision.
We are seeking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor within the Minor Works Team, an in-house practice of multi-disciplinary construction professionals managing a range of refurbishment and maintenance projects across campus, ranging in value from approx. £10k to £1M.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee all contractual and financial aspects of a diverse range of projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the contractual and financial management of multiple construction-related projects.
* Oversee procurement processes, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations.
* Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure cost control.
* Collaborate with building surveyors, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
About You
* Proven experience in a project quantity surveying role
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract law.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, MCIOB, MRICS)
