In this role you will also get to observe, support and extend childrenâs learning, team Work with other staff within the whole setting, liaise with parents promoting partnership and involvement, read and understand all relevant documentation As the Nursery Supervisor youâll help provide high quality care and engaging learning experiences for the children under your supervision. As part of this youâll be a champion for best practice, planning learning opportunities that ensure children have the chance to develop to their full potential.We can offer a great work life balance with a 40 hour working week plus time out of the children's room to give your full attention to essential paperwork and development of your room. You will:Provide a high quality of care and engage with children to create different learning experiences and skillsLead best practice in all learning including and encouraging children to reach their full potential Create a safe and stimulating environment for indoor and outdoor learning by using your understanding of safeguarding policies and local authority proceduresBe aware of health and safety procedures and ensure others are following procedures Actively promote partnerships with parents and other carers to ensure the individual needs of children are being metTake an active role in development, participating in training and supporting colleagues through sharing advice and expertiseComplete 6 monthly supervisions and peer to peers with staffTake part in reviewing policies to ensure they are being followed to the high levels About you:Experience in a similar role with the relevant age group, specifically experience in an Early Years is preferred Minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent2 years post qualification experience requiredExtensive knowledge of all statutory and non-statutory requirements for a childcare environment and remain up to date with any changes to any early years policies and practices An engaging and supporting leader who can help staff develop their skills while setting benchmarks for excellent Early Years practice.
