An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded Employment Law team in London. The team combines technical expertise with a commercial and pragmatic approach, offering both contentious and non-contentious advice at the highest level.
Employment Solicitor — Position Overview:
* Advise employer clients on the full spectrum of employment law issues
* Handle contentious and non-contentious matters, including Employment Tribunal claims
* Support corporate transactions with due diligence and TUPE advice
* Draft and review employment contracts, staff handbooks, consultancy agreements, NDAs, and settlement agreements
* Advise on reorganisations, disciplinaries, grievances, and day-to-day HR issues
* Manage cases involving employment status, redundancy, and restrictive covenants
* Provide clear, commercial advice to clients and work autonomously with partner support
* Contribute to business development and client relationship management
Requirements of the Employment Solicitor:
* Qualified Solicitor with 3–8 years’ PQE in Employment Law
* Experience advising employers (experience with senior employees also beneficial)
* Strong academic background and high-quality training
* Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment work
* Practical knowledge of the Employment Tribunal process
* Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially minded
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills and client relationship focus
* Confident, professional, and discreet in all client dealings
* IT literate with a practical working knowledge of digital tools and case management systems
