Job Description
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon – Primary Care to join their large, collaborative team. This role would suit a vet looking to develop their clinical skills in a hospital setting that offers both routine and advanced care.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 40 hours across a 4-day week, with participation in a 1 in 6 full weekend rota. No out-of-hours required. Part-time or flexible working can be discussed.
Role Description
This is a primary care veterinary surgeon position involving a mix of consulting and surgery, with access to advanced facilities and the support of a multi-disciplinary team. The hospital encourages autonomy and progression in clinical areas of interest, with ample opportunity for mentorship, certificate support, and exposure to advanced procedures through the wider referral team.
Team Size
This practice operates with a team of 20+ Vets, supported by over 30 Nurses and a large team of support staff.

The hospital is located in a vibrant area with excellent transport links. It features modern, purpose-built facilities including a CT scanner, dedicated dental and diagnostic suites, and separate cat, dog, and exotic wards. It is well-equipped for both first opinion and referral services and holds gold ISFM and RWAF accreditations.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered with experience in first opinion practice. They will be a proactive team player who values high clinical standards and client care. A desire to develop further in a specific area of interest will be supported through mentorship and funded certification.
