About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Ward Catering Assistant to join our team. You will work as an integral part of the patient dining team, ensuring a high-quality food and beverage service is provided to patients. The role involves coordinating meal and beverage services in line with the ward's timing schedule while maintaining a hygienic and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Ensure patients are provided with meals, snacks, and beverages at the agreed intervals throughout the day. Take patient food orders using the tablet electronic ordering system at the scheduled times. Maintain and clean bedside menus daily, ensuring special and therapeutic menus are available and presented to patients who require them. Prepare and serve hot/cold beverages, ensuring all are served at the correct temperature as per food hygiene regulations. Load and monitor regeneration ovens, and record food temperatures accordingly. Remove all cutlery, crockery, and condiments from patient areas after every meal and beverage service. Wash utensils, cutlery, trays, and crockery used for meal and beverage preparation, regeneration, and serving.
