We are now looking for an experienced Welder to join our Production team at our Eastington site. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of our manufacturing operation, supporting the production of high‑quality stainless‑steel products that make a real difference to water and wastewater infrastructure across the UK and beyond.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, accurate and timely fabrication work. Using your welding expertise, you’ll help maintain product quality, operational performance and overall site efficiency, contributing directly to business profitability and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:
1. Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and welding specifications
2. Setting up, preparing and operating TIG welding equipment
3. Welding and fabricating stainless steel components to a high standard
4. Assembling metal structures and components to exact design requirements
5. Inspecting welded joints to ensure quality, strength and compliance
6. Identifying welding defects and carrying out repairs or adjustments
7. Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
8. Setting up, maintaining and reporting faults on welding tools and equipment
9. Keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with health & safety standards
10. Following all site HSE procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times
11. Safely handling gases, tools, materials and hazardous substances
12. Working collaboratively with fabricators, engineers and supervisors to meet deadlines
13. Actively participating in safety briefings, toolbox talks and risk assessments
14. Reporting hazards, near misses or incidents promptly
About You
You’ll ideally bring:
15. Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel
16. Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
17. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards
18. Awareness of welding codes, quality systems and safe manufacturing practices
19. A proactive, team‑focused attitude with good communication skills
20. A strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site HSE procedures
Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is essential.
