Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent execution across the store and embed consistent routines to achieve availability, waste, and shrink targets.
* Review store processes to develop metrics and KRAs, ensuring adherence to contract base management and wage control.
* Lead and coach managers and teams across Ambient & Fresh, George and General Merchandising departments in large format stores.
* Foster a supportive culture through empathy, coaching and transparent decision‑making.
* Drive the shopping agenda, encourage healthy competition, and bring “Asdaness” to work daily.
* Lead the shrink agenda and ensure the store remains compliant with legal and safety requirements.
* Prioritise and delegate effectively to deliver promotional activity on time and in brief.
* Work cross‑functionally to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Make data‑driven decisions using insights to inform operational improvements.
Qualifications
* Experience managing diverse teams in a large‑format retail environment.
* Strong operational knowledge across food and non‑food departments.
* Track record of improving availability, reducing waste and managing shrink.
* Confidence in developing large teams and managing change through leadership and resilience.
* Experience with ER cases and understanding of HR policies and processes.
* Strong organisational skills and a commitment to exceeding customer service standards.
