Contracts - Business Partner (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)

Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 18 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Business Partner to join the Procurement team.

The successful candidate will ensure that designated contracts with third-party suppliers are managed to maximize benefits for the force while minimizing risks. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic contract management frameworks, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in contract performance.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Ability to assess needs among staff and develop tailored training, then deliver it to enhance team capabilities.
* Proven interpersonal skills to promote professional relationships at all levels, demonstrating discretion, tact, diplomacy, multi-tasking, enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility in demanding environments.
* Track record of managing high-value contracts to deliver measurable benefits like improved service outcomes, cost efficiencies, or risk mitigation.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, handle diverse information, and proactively solve problems with minimal supervision.
* Extensive commercial experience with strategic thinking and commercial judgment to meet the Force's needs.
* Capability to travel across the Force and complete assignments timely.
* Excellent analytical skills to identify trends, errors, and underlying issues from multiple information sources.
* Knowledge of handling commercial disputes.
