We are seeking a proactive and community-minded Learning Support Assistant to join a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) within a vibrant mainstream primary school in Croydon. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied day, balancing direct pupil support with the organisational tasks that keep a classroom running smoothly. You will be working closely with the class teacher to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Responsibilities Work alongside the class teacher to provide tailored support to pupils within the SRP.Proactively identify where support is needed most, whether with individual pupils or small groups.Maintain and update children's folders and progress trackers accurately.Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.Embrace the school's ethos by engaging with the wider community and participating in school events. Essential Candidate Requirements Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.A proactive "can-do" attitude and the ability to use your own initiative.Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail when updating records.A genuine passion for primary education and community engagement.An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
