Ocean Import Operator – Felixstowe
Salary: £35,000
Monday – Friday
The Role:
Managing ocean import shipments end-to-end, from arrival through to final delivery, ensuring smooth, compliant and timely movement of cargo.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full start-to-finish handling of ocean import shipments
* Customs clearance and documentation management
* Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
* Monitoring shipments and providing proactive updates
* Resolving delays, discrepancies, and customs issues
* Job costing and invoicing
* Maintaining strong client relationships
Requirements:
* Proven experience in ocean imports
* Confident managing shipments end-to-end
* Solid understanding of UK customs procedures (CDS)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
