We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager based at our Weetabix site in Burton Latimer. The main purpose of the role is to create and implement the continuous improvement strategy for the site and to train the onsite team in CI methodology and activities in order to create and embed a real CI culture on site. This site operates 24/7 with varying shift start times, therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential to ensure all shifts are engaged in the site\'s CI initiatives.
As this role will be responsible for creating and embedding CI into our everyday ways of working, the successful candidate must be able to quickly and effectively engage, coach and develop the onsite team at all levels. The main responsibilities include identifying process improvements, cost-saving initiatives and upskilling the team in lean and CI tools and methodology to help sustain the CI culture on site.
Pay, benefits and more: We offer an annual salary up to £50,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, plus 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a cycle to work scheme, workplace pension and ongoing training and development.

What you’ll do on a typical day
* Responsible for all CI activity on site
* Creation and implementation of a Continuous Improvement Strategy
* Coaching and educating colleagues in CI & lean
* Ensuring customer and business have all relevant information regarding CI & lean activity on site
* Collate weekly/monthly updates and present monthly slide decks internally and externally to the customer
* Provide regular management information/KPIs to track progress and effectiveness of CI activity
* Lead or support initiatives and CI pipeline, collecting and collating data including baselines
* Ensure all staff follow Safe Working Practices and Health and Safety
* Lead by example for adherence to the XPO Code of Conduct and procedures
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and develop practical solutions
* Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach and the ability to present findings visually to support decision-making
What you need to succeed at XPO
* Proven track record in Continuous Improvement delivery
* Experience in a large, busy operation, ideally within a logistics environment
* Excellent communication and coaching skills
* Able to multi-task, work under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines
* Preferably qualified in lean methodology and/or Six Sigma or similar
* Ability to engage a team at all levels in the CI agenda and create a culture of sustained improvement
* Ability to design and implement a successful lean/CI training programme to enable the onsite team to engage and participate in improvement delivery
* Ability to work quickly and effectively to deliver real and tangible improvements
* Self-motivated, able to prioritise workload and work under own initiative
