Role Overview
Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to Practice Clinicians. The daily duties of a dental nurse can include:
1. Reception duties, including answering phones and greeting patients
2. Handling patient queries
3. Processing payments
4. Booking appointments and follow-ups
5. Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists
6. Managing patient records
7. Supporting patient wellbeing and enhancing their dental experience
8. Cleaning dental areas, including chairs
9. Managing stock of equipment and supplies
Additional duties may include supporting dentists and the senior team to ensure effective patient care.
Qualifications and Training
* This role involves a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship accredited by City & Guilds, delivered nationwide through blended interactive e-learning accessible from anywhere in the UK.
* Upon completion, the apprentice will receive a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3, approved by the General Dental Council for entry into the professional register as a dental nurse.
* Functional Skills in English and maths at Level 2 are required unless already exempted.
Working Hours
Within the practice's opening hours: Monday - Tuesday, 08:45-17:30 / 19:45; Wednesday - Friday, 08:45-17:30.
