Senior Technical Manager – £50,000+ benefits
Location: Birmingham
An established compliance and environmental services company is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to oversee multiple service lines, with a particular focus on Water Hygiene and Legionella Control.
This position would suit an experienced manager from a Legionella / Water Hygiene background who has progressed into wider compliance operations and is now looking to step into a strategic leadership role.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll take full commercial and operational responsibility for several technical departments, ensuring sustainable growth, efficiency and quality of service delivery.
Key duties include:
* Leading and developing department heads across Water Hygiene, Fire Safety and wider compliance services
* Driving commercial performance through effective business planning and development strategies
* Enhancing internal systems and processes to support scalability and service quality
* Promoting collaboration across teams to ensure nationwide consistency
* Analysing operational and financial data to identify improvements and innovation opportunities
What You'll Need
* Proven background in Water Hygiene / Legionella Control (management or senior operational level)
* Minimum 3 years' leadership experience within compliance, environmental or related technical services
* Recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent Legionella Control certificates
* Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering departmental growth
* Excellent understanding of UK compliance regulations and industry best practice
* Confident using business systems and performance data to streamline operations
