Hours: .5 hours per week, Monday – Friday :am -:pm, Term Time Only
Contract: Permanent to start 1st September 5 NPQ Level 2 or above essential. Temporary post for one year in the first instance.

White Woods Primary Academy Trust was established in September 3 by three self-converting primary schools and has grown rapidly over the past six years. There are now schools in our Trust, all within the borough of Rotherham.

We welcome applications from both experienced teaching assistants and teaching assistants about to take their first steps into the classroom.
Applicants must have the following:
1. NPQ Level 2 or above is essential
2. Knowledge and experience of teaching and scaffolding children’s learning in a KS1 and KS2 classroom
3. Practical knowledge of strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour
4. Excellent skills and experience of teaching phonics (Little Wandle trained desirable but training will be provided)
5. Has the ability to be an outstanding teaching assistant with a creative and energetic approach to teaching and learning.
6. The capability to demonstrate positive, high quality interactions with young children.
7. A flexible and willing approach to always stay curious about learning and be fully involved in all Trust aims and objectives
8. The ability to build and maintain positive, effective relationships with children, families and colleagues
9. Excellent communication skills and have the desire to work as a proactive member of a complex team
10. Excellent IT skills
11. Experience of assisting in the development of individual and group SEND plans and resources
12. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Key Responsibilities:
13. Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN
14. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering learning activities
15. Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
16. Promote inclusion and help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
17. Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers

18. Has experience working with children, particularly those with SEN
19. Communicates clearly and effectively with children and adults
20. Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping children learn
21. Works well as part of a team but can also use their initiative
22. Is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils
