Overview
We are looking for people with supervisory or managerial experience to help us continue delivering high‑quality care and support to adults with learning differences in our Short Breaks services. You will maintain high‑quality services through effective audit systems, ensure outcome‑focused care, identify risks and safeguard procedures, and support a committed team while promoting values of individuality and diversity.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct care and support to service users, assisting with moving and handling using available equipment.
* Be responsive to the changing needs of a 24/7 service, working flexibly and participating in a staff rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.
* Analyse information to reach defensible decisions, compile risk assessments with guidance from departmental colleagues, and ensure follow‑through of actions highlighted in audits and inspections.
* Support the team to maintain high standards of safety and quality, including safeguarding of service users and safe service provision.
Qualifications
* Demonstrate a commitment to providing high‑quality care and maximizing independence.
* Have a suitable level of experience in a supervisory or managerial position in a social care setting and strong IT and written skills to produce clear, concise records.
* Show sound regulatory knowledge of the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
* Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
* Have experience managing areas of risk, including safeguarding service users and advising staff to maintain safe, effective service provision.
Flexible Working

Location & Role
1 x 30‑hour post at Carlton Drive Short Breaks, Wigston. The role offers a purpose‑built respite home setting that provides care for adults with learning disability, Autism, physical disabilities and sensory impairments.
