Are you an ambitious and compassionate leader looking for your next step in specialist education?
InFocus College is seeking a new Principal to lead our outstanding team and help take the college from good to exceptional. Located on a beautiful 13-acre site in Exeter, we support young people aged 16–25 with vision impairment and complex needs through highly personalised learning programmes.
This is a rare opportunity to make a real impact in a truly specialist setting. As Principal, you’ll shape strategy, inspire staff, champion inclusion, and work closely with our CEO and Executive Team to grow and develop the college.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the college’s strategic vision
* Ensuring high-quality, person-centred teaching and learning
* Managing a skilled multidisciplinary team
* Representing the college with local authorities and commissioning bodies
* Championing our focus on preparation for adulthood and student independence
* Taking an active leadership role across InFocus Charity
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has leadership experience in a SEND, specialist school or inclusive FE setting
* Understands the needs of learners with vision impairment, complex needs or PMLD
* Can inspire and lead with warmth, clarity and integrity
* Has strong communication and people skills
* Believes in every young person’s right to a full, independent and valued adult life
* Is ready to help shape the future of one of the UK’s most specialist colleges
