As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will involve engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met and foster strong relationships with our suppliers. How You'll Make an Impact
Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers - Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at our clients' assembly facilities, warehouses, or customers globally Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues Assist with process improvements Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine manufacturing capability and ensure quality systems are in place Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances, manufacturing development, and improvement via regular in-person presence at supplier sites What You Bring
Required: Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM), and Quality Control routines Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable Proven ability to manage multiple problem investigations simultaneously Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability Experience working with or at manufacturing facilities Experience working with critical parts (e.g., disc, shaft, complex assemblies) Preferred
Proven track record of applying quality improvement processes and tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) SAP experience Working Requirements
