Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Banksman to join our construction team. The Banksman plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and vehicles on site. This position requires excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of construction practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members.
Duties
* Direct and control the movement of vehicles and machinery on site to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Communicate clearly with operators and ground staff using hand signals and radios.
* Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures.
* Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain clear communication with site management regarding any issues or concerns that arise during operations.
* Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions clearly in English.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites as required.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
