The Role
The position is technical and ensures SNG compliance with landlord responsibilities, regulations and legislation. You will work with the Safety and Compliance Specialist – Fire to provide robust management in all fire-related activities. Utilize technical expertise in passive and active fire measures, fire risk assessments and risk mitigation. You will oversee fire-related cyclical servicing, inspection and upgrade programmes, and manage contracts and performance.
Responsibilities
* Lead on all elements of contract management relating to fire activities, identifying, recording and addressing underperformance and breaches
* Develop cyclical inspection, upgrade and works programmes for fire aspects, centralised within the building safety compliance team
* Collaborate with the Safety and Compliance Specialist – Fire to ensure regional alignment
* Deliver and monitor fire safety compliance, meeting regulatory, legislative and landlord obligations; ensure the organisation receives competent advice
* Develop and monitor methodologies for current and future fire activities; document scope, detail requirements and review against regulatory changes
* Prepare, monitor and deliver performance reports against directorate and organisational targets
* Manage direct reports with a focus on clear vision, direction, accountability and continuous improvement
What we are looking for
* Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of fire safety in the Housing Sector
Qualifications
* Membership of the IFE / IFSM or an equivalent membership body
* Award in Practical Fire Risk Assessment such as IFE or CS Todd
